Can I get my Halo on the same day as my consultation?

If you only booked for the consultation it will depend if there is enough time on the day. If you think you might want it on the day and providing we have your colour and weight in stock then simply select the Halo Fitting option, which we will do both the consultation and fitting.

Is it heavy will I feel it?

It depends which Halo weight you get as to how much you will feel it. Some are heavier than others. However they are very comfortable and after some getting used to you will forget that it’s even there. This is because the weight of the Halo is evenly distributed around the head.

Is the Halo fully customized to my hair?

Yes! The Halo will be colour matched with our wide selection of colours and custom fit to your head so your halo will fit you perfectly. As well as cut and styled to blend in perfectly with your own hair. You will also be shown how to use the Halo so you can apply it yourself!

How do I look after it and how long will it last?

At first like anything new, you need to practice how to apply it. Luckily we show you exactly how to apply the halo yourself and usually people find it super easy after 2-3 times, then they totally comfortable 🙂 overall the Halo is very easy and quick to apply (unlike clip-ins)

Will the Halo move or fall off?

The Halo will be custom fit to your head on a very specific angle that makes the Halo sit very secure. Also because it sits underneath your hair this helps hold it in place more. The Halo is not attached to your hair at all so it will feel like a new sensation that needs getting used to. Once you get used to the new sensation you realise how secure the Halo is and that its not going to fall off or move.

I have really thin hair will it work for me?

Actually thin hair is the BEST type of hair for the Halo. This is because the ends of your natural hair blend better when they are thin. Also the Halo sits so low at the back of the head which means your hair will easily cover the band.

I have thick hair will it work for me?

It can work if you have thin / fine ends and as long as you dont want it extremely long in comparison to your own natural hair, this is why it’s ideal to come in for the free consultation. If you have thick short hair with blunt ends it wont work for your hair type. You’ll need to grow out your hair first.

Why are there 2 different thicknesses?

We have 2 thicknesses because everyones hair is different and different people want to achieve different looks and hair goals. For example the Fine halo is used only to add natural volume and the Medium halo is used to add length and volume, to give you instant dream hair 😉

Can I wear the halo if I have blunt or thick ends?

Unfortunately no. The halo wont look natural and your own hair wont blent in with it if you have thick blunt ends. The best way for your natural hair to be for it to work best with the Halo is to have feathered (thin) ends so your hair blends in well with the Halo.

What can I expect in the consultation?

n the Free Consultation you'll get to try on a Halo so you can see if it will work for your hair. We will talk about what you want to achieve with your hair and match your hair colour. This part is free! If you wish to go ahead then we can continue with the Halo Fitting part which is where the Halo will be custom fit to your head as well as cut and styled to blend in perfectly with your own hair. You will also be shown how to use the Halo so you can apply it yourself!

Is it real Human Hair?

Our Halos are made of 100% Remy human hair so they can blend in with your own hair to look totally natural. They can also be styled with hot tools but use heat sparingly to avoid too much heat damage.

Can you see the wire?

The invisible wire is made of a thin clear nylon wire which when the hair is pulled and combed over correctly, becomes totally invisible! The only time you’ll ever see the wire is if there is hair stuck underneath.

What happens if you dont have my exact colour?

We usually have all of the most common and universal hair colours in our colour range, we even have 2 toned blends for girls with 2 colours in their hair! But on the odd occasion that we dont have your colour or if your colour is very unique and rare (bright red) the Halos can be toned or coloured by a professional to match your exact colour. This is possible because the Halo is made of 100% human hair. Halos just need to be wet before applying any toners or colours 🙂

How do I look after it and how long will it last?

The Halo is super low maintenance so you dont need to do much other than keep it neatly stored when you’re not using it. Try to avoid super high temperatures when styling it as this can melt the protective coating on the hair. Also try to avoid using too many products because washing it often will also strip the hair of it’s protective coating. If you follow these recommendations then you will only need to wash them once every 3 months and you can use Pantene’s shampoo and conditioner for this, wash as normal with mild warm water, rinse well and simply let air dry naturally then style as normal.

How do I wash and take care of my halo?

The Halo is super easy and low maintenance to look after! You won’t need to wash it often because it doesn’t get dirty often and the less you wash it the longer it will last. We recommend washing your Halo every 3 months and to avoid putting products in the Halo like hair sprays and oils because then you will need to wash it more often. That will dry out the hair. The best shampoo and conditioner to use is Pantene Pro-V which you can get from your local super market. Simply wash the Halo as normal in lukewarm water and condition for 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly. We recommend letting you Halo air dry over night. It will dry with a natural wave and then you can style as you like! We do recommend using heat protector before applying heat and to of-course use heat as little as possible 🙂

Can I use blue or purple shampoo on the Halo?

We recommend against this because different products will react differently to hair extensions and sometimes blue shampoo can turn the hair blue or overly tone the Halo. It’s best not to risk this and get a professional hairdresser to tone your Halo if you need.

What happens if the wind blows?

The wind blowing shouldn’t cause your Halo to move or fall off, it sits super secure on the head so this isn’t a problem. Just like any hair extension when the wind blows it can move your own hair so just hold down your hair as you would normally if it’s a blowy day 🙂
